Gina is pronounced "Gin-uh". It is a nickname for Virginia, her namesake and state of birth.
Gina is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, planner, and former biologist/entomologist, Occasionally, she moonlights as a costumed character for public television. Her multimedia practice is an often opportunistic, humorous, and participatory response to personal and public issues around her.

Gina has a BS in Biology and Art from the Evergreen State College and holds a Master's of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Washington. Among other adventures, her education includes a year at the American Museum of Natural History illustrating beetle genitalia. While doing biological research in the Amazon she lived without electricity for months and as a result, is not afraid of the dark. She currently lives and works in a historic school turned artist community in Seattle.
